Q. What is UNL Surplus? A. UNL Surplus is a UNL Surplus is a department of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln which brokers auction sales for other departments which have surplus equipment. We operate both NUAuction, which is the system for university-only auctions, and Ebay auctions. It is our mission to provide quality surplus and excellent customer service.
Q. What is the difference between NUAuction sales and Ebay sales? A. NUAuction features University-only auctions in which only faculty or staff of the University of Nebraska can purchase items. Most auctions spend two weeks as an NUAUction listing. If they do not sell after those two weeks, they can be transferred to Ebay sales. Ebay auctions are featured on www.ebay.com and are available to the public. The auctions generally last 7 days.
Q. I have an item I want to sell. What can UNL Surplus do for me? A. UNL Surplus will take pictures of the item, create listings, answer questions, work with customers, complete the sale and then package and ship the item if necessary. If the item is to be picked up locally, a UNL Surplus representative will work with the freight company and, in most cases, be present at the time of pickup to assist in any way possible. By selling with UNL Surplus, you can also take advantage of its years of good reputation on Ebay. To the world of Ebay buyers and sellers, a sellers feedback score is extremely important. UNL Surplus has a 99.4% with over 170 feedback score.
Q. What can be sold on UNL Surplus? On NUAuction? On Ebay? A. All kinds of things. This question, asked frequently by sellers, needs to be answered on an individual basis. One valuable way to discern whether or not items might sell on Ebay is to search for similar items on Ebay.com.
